My work has it’s basis in my interest in human perception, memory and experience. It has taken many forms from drawing and painting to installation and printmaking.
My current work revisits my interests in surrealist automatism, abstract expression and traditional forms such as still life and landscape painting. I am often exploring my outer and inner world for inspiration, and attempt to create meaningful environments and structures, upon which the viewer can project their own experience. I have researched and been fascinated by human consciousness and the relationship between what’s implied by the embodied practice of the artist and what is received by the viewers sensory perception.
My recent interests have been leading back to a reflection on painting as a meditative and quasi spiritual practice, presenting a unique form of expression and communication. It interest me how the work is subliminally or overtly affected by the unique view of the artist, and what is the broader nature of the environment in a post digital landscape. The reference points that are decoded range from the cultural to the universal.
I hope that you appreciate my work and please contact me for shows and other enquiries.
